Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Lore ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. The Service

Lore provides a knowledge management platform that helps organisations capture, structure, and transfer institutional knowledge. Features include AI-powered knowledge interviews, a knowledge library, mentor pairing, and transfer session management.

3. Accounts and Access

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access. Each subscription covers one organisation; sharing access across organisations is not permitted.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Lore is offered on a monthly or annual subscription basis. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

All prices are listed in CAD and exclude applicable taxes. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other organisations' data
  • Use the Service to transmit malware or harmful code
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the underlying AI models

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload or create in Lore. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use your content to train AI models without your explicit consent.

7. AI Features

Lore uses third-party AI providers (including Anthropic) to power interview and summarisation features. AI-generated content may contain errors and should be reviewed before acting on it. We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated outputs.

8. Availability and Support

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. Support is provided via email; response times vary by plan.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lore shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes.
